Outrageous Melbourne-based 'art-stars' Nat&Ali kick off 24Hr Art's 2003 program with their installation "the Best of..."

 

PLAY is the 13th annual 24HR Art Members' show and the fourth in the popular small format. This exhibition provides a snap-shot of the rich varied, vibrant tapestry of art produced in the NT.

Large scale photographs documenting sacred sites across the globe - from Iceland to New Mexico, Spain and Czechoslovakia and most recently in the Northern Territory.

 

Presented for Glenti Festival - 2 exhibitions and a forum by contemporary Greek Australian artists exploring the notion of construction both in terms of its architectural connotation and in terms of identity

 

Developed during a residency at BANFF in Canada, this mixed media installation explores the challenges to the Western perceptions of country encountered by the artist during a year with the indigenous communities in the Balgo Hills region of WA.

The work in this exhibition exposes a new tendency in Indonesian art - the use of new media is associated with a break from tradition and the past and with a new sense of cultural identity and transformation. The artists explore such issues as the hybrid nature of Indonesian culture, the interaction of disparate races and cultures and local spirituality and ritual.
