In "A phrenologist's Deception", Ford reveals an unsettling sensation in his high realism paintings. The concepts of contradiction and paradox are testified through the anamorphosis that Ford creates on the canvas.

In "Woro-woro Jogja S.O.S!" Bapak calls on artists in Yogyakarta to remain "human", to resist conforming to the growing trend of exhibitions being all about commercialism, and not to simply follow the "comfortable way". Bapak is critical of current art practices in Jogja, claiming many artists are being influenced by curators and gallery owners to follow the "money makers", that Jogja is losing it's reputation as the creative hub of Indonesia.

"Riding School for the Cowboys of Doom" is a triptych interpretation of Albert Durers' 1498 "Four Horseman of the Apocalypse". A series of fine copper wire threads draw together each of Durers' horsemen, whilst transmitting the sound of a character derived from a post apocalyptic science fiction film.

"New World Romance" is a collection of handmade distorted natural forms constructed of material sourced from local coastal plants, and reminiscent of domestic dιcor, clothes and furniture. These soft sculptures interrogate the notion of representing place and living within the natural environment.

With an interest in the existence of a dual or alternate reality, Brown explores the moment in which the eyes play tricks, allowing people to observe fragments of the real world in an alternate state.

Presented in landscape tradition without a horizon line, "Fundamental Purgatory" reflects Cullen's ongoing interest in physiological and physical trauma. Through his work, Cullen tells his belief that in these heady days, our planet has been left in a perpetual state of disrepair. We are also in an age of radical conservatism embodied in fundamentalism and ridiculous religious delusion.

Believing that technology and mobility can change habits and inhabitation of public spaces, the Australian Network for Art and Technology (ANAT) presents "Portable Worlds 2nd Edition", a series of video works which have been created using mobile phone technologies. A young boy is filmed in a park practising ballet whilst a blonde haired dog, constructed by the artist, watches over him. Baker attempts to make visible the indivisible, the seamless relation between nature and culture, it is a truncated but nevertheless poignant view of a boy in a landscape.

In "Plastorama", Langton creates a panoramic landscape filled with bulbous plastic inflatable objects. Using malleable and artificial qualities of the materials, he defines a world that is strangely alluring and at the same time utterly repugnant a world that is like a bubble about to burst.

Inspired by Darwin's bus shelters that have been painted with murals of local flora, fauna and landscapes, Dodd represents the psyche of a physical public space via the visual interpretation of layers of found text and graffiti.
