Infuse: Project Areas
Stage
1
One
Day Forum:
Facilitated
by Keith Gallasch, the forum will encourage open debate and critical discussion
on contemporary hybrid practices. The round-table forum will encourage participants
to be directly involved in dialogue and discussion with the panel members. The
forum will include discussion on:
á Hybridity: key Australian examples
and how do we talk/write about these hybrids
á Clarifying concepts: hybridity,
interdisciplinary, cross-disciplinary
á Kinds and nature of collaboration,
different art form languages
á New ways of working, re-defining
artistic relationships
á Multi-skilling, resourcing and
networking
The forum will have a key focus on developing the participantsÕ knowledge of
how to conceptualise and express a project: specificity of description,
handling ideas and structuring proposals; and understanding funding (Interarts)
definitions.
Stage 2
Mentorship:
Following the forum, participants will be invited to join the mentorship stage, designed to give participants an opportunity to build a relationship with a more experienced artist, and develop a project concept within the field of interdisciplinary arts with their guidance. The program is designed to be flexible and casual, and is based on the model of hub mentoring.
