E-BULLETIN #2 Feb 2008
NEWS
24HR Art galleries was a-buzz at our first opening on Friday. The refurbished gallery set the scene for a fabulous show. On Saturday, Meagan Keating and Pamela See conducted workshops in the fine art of paper-cutting, and Geoff Nees discussed his large-scale architectural works, and their relationship to his paper-cut designs.
Surface Tension
24Hr Art's artist in resident, Pamela See, is conducting a
series of free workshops staged in the wake of the Australian federal
government's historical apology to the stolen
generations. Participants will begin with a water motif to represent the
passage of time. To this they are invited to add their own symbols. Thematically, they will consider the
sentiment of sorriness or letting go. Community and school groups interested in
hosting a workshop should contact Pamela See (Artist-in-Residence at 24hrArt)
