NT OPPORTUNITIES
Call
for Arts/ Crafts people in Darwin
A photographic
project by Tom Dinning
ÒOver the next 12 months I will be embarking on a project to
record, in photographs, the work of artists and crafts people of the Top End.
The aim of this project is to record the work of our artists and crafts people
and highlight their work in a book, website and exhibition. The book will
include a selection of these people, their work and life in the Top End. The
website will be more comprehensive and will provide an ongoing resource for
people wishing to view the quality work produced by our creative and skilled
artists and crafts people. It is also hoped that an exhibition of the project
can be held during 2011. I would foresee this as being an excellent opportunity
for the art/craft community to share in the completed task. I am asking for the
cooperation of people who would like to be included in this project. I would
need a few hours of your time over the next 12 month to subject you to a photo
shoot and interview. It is preferred that this takes place at the location
where you work as the images I am seeking would illustrate how and where you
work as well as the art/craft work you produce. Those people who are interested
in participating can contact me on mobile 0417839582 or email christom.dinning@bigpond.com Ò
