Northern Territory as part of our public and professional development programs,
they are Mr Agung Hujatnikajenong (Jenong) from
Bandung, Indonesia and Ms Fu Xiaodong from
Beijing, China. 24HR Art will facilitate a number of artist studio visits and
artist presentations to inform the curators of current contemporary art practices
of the Northern Territory. As part of the project, the curators will travel
interstate to participate in the opening week celebration events of the 17th
Biennale of Sydney The Beauty of Distance: Songs of Survival in a Precarious
Age, and then onto a series of artist presentations in Melbourne, Perth and
Canberra. As part of 24HR Art education programs, Agung and Xiaodong will
complement their Darwin visits by presenting talks on the contemporary arts of
their respective countries to the local arts community and general public.
